Also known as IBS, irritable bowel syndrome is an illness affecting the large intestine negatively. IBS will create varying symptoms based on the individual. The exact underlying cause of IBS is unknown. Physicians agree that IBS is created based on several factors, including the GI tract’s motility and food intolerances. There is no super drug that can completely cure IBS. Because every patient is different, the goal is to treat the symptoms, so the effect of IBS is minimal. A food diary, as mentioned above, is a significant factor in determining what sets off the symptoms. By simply avoiding these foods, you can feel better. Stress management can also be a factor, as being nervous or stressed out can trigger symptoms. You can also rely on relaxation techniques, hypnosis directed at the gut, pain management techniques, and other options.
Meeting with a physician and having yourself diagnosed with IBS is the first step to feeling better. Once you have a proper diagnosis, you can move on to treating the condition and hopefully alleviate the symptoms associated with the disease.

Most adults have heard the term Lyme Disease but are unsure what the condition actually is. Lyme Disease is transmitted into the human body via a deer tick or black-legged tick bite. A tick of this type infected with bacteria will cause Lyme Disease. Symptoms can begin from 3 to 30 days after the individual is bitten. Symptoms will vary depending on where you are bitten and when they decide to show up.
For the most part, symptoms will include a fever, chills, muscle and joint pain, a headache, and swelling of the lymph nodes. In the majority of Lyme Disease cases, a rash will appear. Sometimes, the inflammation will look like a bull’s eye pattern. The problem with many symptoms is that they are misdiagnosed, and Lyme Disease is not found to be the underlying cause. The first symptom associated with CFS is, of course, fatigue. At the onset of CFS, you may feel like you have the flu. You can have a sore throat and feel achy all over. When the impaired flow of the lymphatic system occurs, an individual suffers from lymphedema. Due to this impaired flow, the patient will suffer from swelling in one or more of their extremities. The arms and legs will be subject to swelling, and treatment will be needed to assist with the swelling symptoms.
The lymphatic system consists of lymph vessels located within the body. These vessels collect lymph fluid excess from tissues in the body that contain proteins, waste products, and lipids. The fluid then travels to the lymph nodes, where the waste products are filtered. The juice also contains cells that fight infection, known as lymphocytes. The excess fluid then travels back to the bloodstream. When lymphedema occurs, the lymph vessels cannot carry the fluid away or are blocked. This creates localized swelling, usually in the arms, legs, or both.
In most cases of lymphedema, the swelling will be present in one arm or leg. However, there are times when both limbs will be affected. With primary lymphedema, the lymph vessels are subject to an anatomical abnormality. This is a condition that is inherited and rare. Secondary lymphedema is caused by damage to the lymph vessels and lymph nodes or an obstruction that causes abnormal function, resulting in swelling.
Lymphedema occurs typically due to a parasite infection known as filariasis. The issue commonly occurs in female breast cancer patients in the United States. It is not uncommon to see the diagnosis of lymphedema after a woman with breast cancer completes radiation treatment.

There are physical as well as visual symptoms associated with lymphedema. First, you may notice a heavy feeling or tingling in an arm or leg. Warmth or shooting pains can also be present, including a tight feeling. Such symptoms can occur before swelling occurs in the leg or the arm. In the affected limb, you may decrease your ability to feel or see your tendons or veins in the arm or leg.
Jewelry or clothing may feel tight, and you may notice redness on the skin. Joints may have flexibility issues, or you may feel tightness in your joints. The skin of the affected area may also become puffy.

There are several treatment options for lymphedema, including compression therapy or surgery. With compression therapy, you can choose to use elastic stockings or sleeves depending on the extremity affected. The flexible will offer gradual compression to repair the swelling. Bandages can also be wrapped around the end of the arm or leg and wrapped more loosely toward the trunk to encourage the flow to move out towards the center of the body from the lymph nodes.
Manual compression can also help with lymphedema. Massage techniques can be used to help drain the lymph nodes manually. You will need to schedule a lymphedema therapy treatment with an individual who has experience working in these body areas to improve lymph flow.
When it comes to surgical options, the excess fluid of the arms or legs will be removed, and sometimes the tissues associated. Surgery is only used in severe cases and will not provide a cure for lymphedema. When anAntibiotics must be used to avoid sepsis when an infection occurs due to lymphedema
There is no cure for lymphedema, but there are ways in which the condition can be treated. Working with trained professionals who specialize in the state will help you to feel some relief based on the effects of the disease.
